The five-fruit tray at grandpa's house for Tet, the Lunar New Year, with oranges on top and incense drifting through the rooms. Four drops of sweet orange are zesty and fresh, bergamot adds elegant, slightly tea-like peel, and sandalwood lines it with warm, creamy wood like the first incense smoke of the year. Perfect for the living room during the holidays, when guests drop by with New Year wishes. Start it early in the morning and add two more drops of sweet orange at noon to keep it fresh.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
