swapping out the duvet

3 oils · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2502

Pulling the heavy duvet out of storage, everyone knows that shut-away smell. Tea tree opens green and clean, spearmint adds a sweet-cool note, and clary sage, just 1 drop, rounds the whole thing out softly and warmly. Made for the bedroom when the seasons turn. Air the duvet out first, then diffuse in the room for 20 minutes before making the bed; no need to drip it on fabric.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Tea Tree 4 · Spearmint 3 · Clary Sage 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

FAQ

How do I use swapping out the duvet in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 4 · Spearmint 3 · Clary Sage 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use swapping out the duvet?
Use it after cooking or cleaning, in the bathroom, near the shoe cabinet, or in rooms shared with pets.
