offline in the woods

4 oils · Minty · Woody · code BL-0859

Leave your phone behind and head into the forest, even if only in your imagination. Sandalwood and spearmint at twenty drops each make an unusual pair: smooth creamy wood with sweet coolness, while juniper and pine add a green, resinous layer of needles. This is a large bottle recipe; use about six drops each time. Great for a home office in the afternoon, when you need at least half an hour away from screens.

How it unfolds

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood); pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Sandalwood 3 · Spearmint 3 · Juniper 1 · Pine 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Sandalwood 2 · Spearmint 2 · Juniper 1 · Pine 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sandalwood 10 · Spearmint 10 · Juniper 5 · Pine 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use offline in the woods in a diffuser?
Add Sandalwood 3 · Spearmint 3 · Juniper 1 · Pine 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sandalwood?
Swap sandalwood for cedarwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use offline in the woods?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
