Peppermint and lemongrass split the top evenly, cool tingle meeting fresh tang, popping as soon as the diffuser starts. Tea tree, citronella and eucalyptus follow with three notes: sharp green, bold grass and cool leaf. Good for large living rooms, entry halls and covered porches. Mix a bottle ahead and take 6 drops each time; for bedrooms, use 3 drops and less peppermint if it keeps you up.

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
