lemongrass, less overthinking

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · code BL-0948

When your thoughts get too loud, turn them down a little. Juniper and sweet orange, five drops each, make a fresh-green and cheerful-sweet pair, while three drops of lemongrass add a bright, vivid tang. This blend suits an afternoon of work when you need to clear your head. For a mellower version once it gets dark, add two drops of frankincense.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use lemongrass, less overthinking in a diffuser?
Add Juniper 3 · Sweet Orange 3 · Lemongrass 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of juniper?
Swap juniper for cedarwood or sandalwood — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use lemongrass, less overthinking?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
