just the right tang

3 oils · Citrus · code BL-1361

Not too sour, not too sweet. Four drops of sweet orange are round, three drops of lemon are bright, and two drops of lemongrass add a fresh lemony-grass note. This blend is like a glass of orange-lemongrass juice, pleasant for all ages, great for the living room, kitchen or family dining room. Tip: run the diffuser after meals to clear out cooking smells instead of reaching for a room spray.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Sweet Orange 4 · Lemon 3 · Lemongrass 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Sweet Orange 2 · Lemon 2 · Lemongrass 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sweet Orange 13 · Lemon 10 · Lemongrass 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use just the right tang in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Lemon 3 · Lemongrass 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for bergamot or lime — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: bergamot is light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style.
When is the best time to use just the right tang?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
