Lavender, bergamot and thyme split evenly at five drops each: clean herbs, fresh and slightly bitter citrus, warm, spicy herbs. The scent is rustic like a herb garden out back, perfect for the living room on a do-nothing Sunday. Thyme can get sharp in large amounts, so in a small room use 2, 2 and 1 drops; if you like a cleaner scent, add more lavender.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Thyme can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
