cold-weather hug

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-2837

Tea tree and ylang-ylang sit equally, green-clean meeting sweet florals; a drop of geranium adds green rose. An unusual but mellow pairing, clean yet soft like a hug. Good for the bedroom or bathroom on cold evenings. Run the diffuser for about 20 minutes; ylang-ylang is intense, so scent-sensitive folks can cut it to 1 drop.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use cold-weather hug in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 2 · Ylang Ylang 2 · Geranium 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use cold-weather hug?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
