Bergamot and sweet orange open cheerful like church bells, and three drops of cinnamon add a warm spice like Christmas gingerbread cookies. Cozy and festive, it suits Christmas nights going to Mass. Mix the ten drops in a roller bottle; cinnamon is fairly strong, so dilute it well and reduce it to two drops if your skin is sensitive.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Cinnamon can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
