bye bye mosquitoes

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2514

Lemon eucalyptus leads with its signature crisp, cool lemony-grassy note, peppermint adds a tingle, lavender softens and thyme closes with a bit of warm herb. A neat scent for the living room or porch during mosquito hour. Diffuse at dusk; for a gentler bedroom version, swap 1 drop of peppermint for 1 drop of lavender.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use bye bye mosquitoes in a diffuser?
Add Lemon Eucalyptus 3 · Peppermint 2 · Lavender 2 · Thyme 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemon eucalyptus?
Swap lemon eucalyptus for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use bye bye mosquitoes?
Diffuse it on the balcony, porch or in the bedroom in the evening; keep the window screens shut for best results.
