buzzing right by my ear

6 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Minty · Woody · code BL-2569

Six oils in exactly equal drops make a rare choir: crisp lemon eucalyptus and lemongrass, cool peppermint, green-rose geranium, warm herbal thyme and dry cedarwood as the base. Made for grown-up bedrooms when the whine keeps circling your ear. Mix the whole bottle ahead, and each night add 4–5 drops to the diffuser 30 minutes before bed.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
