blame it on the weather

3 oils · Floral · Woody · code BL-0611

Tired? Just blame it on the weather. Three drops of lavender open with soft flowers, one drop of juniper adds a clear, berry-like conifer note, and one drop of cedarwood lines it with warm dry wood. Just five drops, neat and pleasant. Good for gray days with endless drizzle. For more warmth, add one drop of cedarwood and let the diffuser run a little longer.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Lavender 3 · Juniper 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Lavender 3 · Juniper 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Lavender 18 · Juniper 6 · Cedarwood 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use blame it on the weather in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 3 · Juniper 1 · Cedarwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use blame it on the weather?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
