a little lost in the woods

3 oils · Herbal · Woody · code BL-2105

No time for a hike? Get a little lost in the woods right in your room. Eucalyptus opens clear and cool, while cedarwood and juniper lay down a layer of dry, resinous wood, very close to the smell of a forest trail. Great for a home office, a reading nook or a weekend afternoon. Add 1 drop of pine if you want your forest greener and fresher.

How it unfolds

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Eucalyptus 4 · Cedarwood 2 · Juniper 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Eucalyptus 2 · Cedarwood 1 · Juniper 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Eucalyptus 15 · Cedarwood 8 · Juniper 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use a little lost in the woods in a diffuser?
Add Eucalyptus 4 · Cedarwood 2 · Juniper 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of eucalyptus?
Swap eucalyptus for rosemary or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use a little lost in the woods?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
