History

1-(5,5-dimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)pent-4-en-1-one is sold as Dynascone (Firmenich) and Galbanone (Givaudan). It recreates the sharp green of galbanum resin.

In perfumery

Used at very low levels in green, green chypre and fresh masculine fragrances.
