β-Citronellyl propionate is the propionate ester of citronellol.

Skin. Undiluted on rabbit skin under 24-hour occlusion was non-irritant. A 4 percent patch test on 25 volunteers caused no irritation or sensitization.

Oral and dermal. Acute oral LD50 in rats exceeds 5 g/kg; rabbit dermal LD50 exceeds 5 g/kg.

As an ester, the compound is unlikely to be carcinogenic.
