New Year's Eve, and the fireworks light up the sky. Four drops of mandarin are sweet and juicy like the Tet fruit tray, while juniper and lime, two drops each, bring dry conifer wood and green tartness. The scent is cheerful and full of anticipation, great for the living room on the last night of the year. For more warmth, add 1 drop of cinnamon; for a large room, double it.

On opening. Mandarin (gently sweet, softer than orange); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lime can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
