Sunday, just a little more time in bed. Sweet orange and lemon, three drops each, are fresh and bright like sunlight slipping through the curtains, and two drops of jasmine are sweet and soft. This scent suits the bedroom on weekend mornings. Set the diffuser to switch on at 8; if you want to sleep in even longer, use less lemon and raise the jasmine to 3.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Jasmine (white-floral, sweet, heady and alluring) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
