stuffy nose on a rainy day

3 oils · Herbal · Minty · code BL-3275

Minty-cool cajeput like medicated balm; breathing feels clear.

Rainy day, stuffy-feeling nose: cajeput is minty-cool like the familiar Vietnamese medicated oil, while peppermint and eucalyptus add airiness, making breathing feel more comfortable and your head feel lighter. Great for the bedroom on rainy days or a closed office. Use 3 drops and run it for 15 minutes; for small children, use only cajeput and skip the peppermint.

How it unfolds

On opening. Cajeput (cool yet warm, and very familiar); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Cajeput 3 · Peppermint 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cajeput 3 · Peppermint 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cajeput 18 · Peppermint 6 · Eucalyptus 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use stuffy nose on a rainy day in a diffuser?
Add Cajeput 3 · Peppermint 1 · Eucalyptus 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cajeput?
Swap cajeput for rosemary or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use stuffy nose on a rainy day?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
