Payday is here, so the date gets an upgrade. Three drops of sweet orange for cheer, two drops of ylang ylang for sweet yellow florals, and one drop of jasmine for a sweet white bloom. Playful yet romantic, it suits the bedroom or living room before you head out. For more sweetness, raise jasmine to 2; in a big room, double the whole recipe.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral); jasmine (white-floral, sweet, heady and alluring) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
