Patchouli takes charge with damp, deep, long-lasting earth, juniper comes along with dry needle-wood, and lemongrass slips in up top to lighten things. A great mix for anglers sitting by the lake for hours in the late afternoon. Put a few drops on a cloth tied to your folding chair or hat brim; for a fresher morning version, bump lemongrass up to 6 drops.

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
