Four oils, one drop each, nobody hogging the spotlight: tangy lemongrass, cool eucalyptus, plus thyme and basil for a green, spicy herbal layer. A friendly scent for the whole household, great for the living room at dusk when mosquitoes start drifting in. When the lights come on, close the doors partway and let the diffuser run; for large rooms, double the whole recipe to keep the ratio right.

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Thyme (warm, dry and herbal with a touch of spice); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemongrass and Thyme can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
