A short trail, a light backpack, legs still fresh. Four drops of bergamot open elegantly like early sunshine on a hillside; juniper and peppermint, three drops each, bring along dry conifer and a cool breeze. Run it in the living room on Friday night while you pack for the trek. If you like a stronger forest scent, just swap them around: 4 juniper, 3 bergamot.

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
