Blend recipes · Relax

dark, deep, and addictive

3 oils · Herbal · Woody · code BL-0495

Three oils, two drops each: deep, yet strangely addictive. Sandalwood is smooth like creamy wood, patchouli adds profound damp earth, and tea tree slips in a sharp green streak that lightens the scent and gives it character. Good for a creative workspace, while you draw, write or edit photos late at night. If patchouli isn't your thing, cut it to one drop and the blend becomes noticeably cleaner and lighter.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Sandalwood 2 · Patchouli 2 · Tea Tree 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Sandalwood 2 · Patchouli 2 · Tea Tree 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sandalwood 10 · Patchouli 10 · Tea Tree 10 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use dark, deep, and addictive in a diffuser?
Add Sandalwood 2 · Patchouli 2 · Tea Tree 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sandalwood?
Swap sandalwood for cedarwood or cypress — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use dark, deep, and addictive?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
