History

Cyclamen aldehyde is one of the older synthetic muguet aldehydes. The name describes the odour; it is not extracted from cyclamen.

In perfumery

Used in lily of the valley and fresh floral accords, especially in functional products. After the EU ban on Lilial, other muguet aldehydes were re-examined.
