Lavender makes up nearly half, giving a soft floral scent; lemon eucalyptus adds a cool lemony-grassy note, and patchouli and cajeput hold a warm, slightly spicy finish that feels very familiar to Vietnamese noses. This big-batch recipe is meant to be mixed for the whole season. Dilute into a spray and lightly mist the mosquito net and curtains about 30 minutes before bed, so the scent softens before you lie down.

On opening. Lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass); cajeput (cool yet warm, and very familiar) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
