Majantol is Symrise's trade name for 2,2-dimethyl-3-(3-methylphenyl)propan-1-ol. Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 added it to the fragrance allergen list under the INCI name Trimethylbenzenepropanol.

In perfumery

Used in stable muguet accords for cosmetics and household products.
