History

Florol is Firmenich's trade name for 2-isobutyl-4-methyltetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ol. As an alcohol it is more stable than the muguet aldehydes.

In perfumery

Used more widely after the Lilial and Lyral bans, in fresh florals and household products.
