staying cool in bug season

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2546

Tea tree opens sharp, green and clean, geranium steps in to soften with rose-leaf notes, and peppermint seals it with an alert, cool tingle. Good for the home office or study corner in the evening, when you need to focus but the door has to stay open. Run the diffuser for the first 30 minutes of work; if tea tree feels too sharp, move 2 drops from tea tree over to geranium.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use staying cool in bug season in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 4 · Geranium 2 · Peppermint 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use staying cool in bug season?
Diffuse it on the balcony, porch or in the bedroom in the evening; keep the window screens shut for best results.
