Blend recipes · Bug repellent

hello summer, bye bugs

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2548

Lemon eucalyptus comes in first with its crisp, cool lemony-grassy note, sweet orange follows with summery cheer, and tea tree and spearmint make it all green, cool and clean. Perfect for early-summer afternoons in the living room with the doors open and ice clinking in your glass. Golden hour is around 5 pm, just as the sun fades; for a sweeter, happier mood, add 1 drop of sweet orange.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon eucalyptus (green, lemony and cool, a little like lemongrass); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
