Citronella keeps the lead with warm, bold hay, while lavender and spearmint split the rest: one soft and floral, one sweet and cool. Good for bedrooms and living rooms during the worst mosquito weeks, when the buzzing alone wears you out. Diffuse about 30 minutes before bed with the screens shut; scent-sensitive folks can cut citronella to 10 drops.

On opening. Citronella (strong, green and slightly lemony); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
