year-end burnout

2 oils · Citrus · Warm spice · code BL-2711

Year-end deadlines are piling up and you are running on empty. Ceylon cassia opens sweet and warm, gentler than regular cinnamon; lemon cuts in bright and tart, making the scent fresher and more awake. Good for the desk or home office during crunch weeks. Run a mini diffuser early in the afternoon when your energy dips; for more alertness, add 1 drop of lemon.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ceylon cassia (sweet, softly spicy and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Ceylon Cassia 3 · Lemon 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Ceylon Cassia 3 · Lemon 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Ceylon Cassia 18 · Lemon 12 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing Skin irritant

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Ceylon Cassia can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use year-end burnout in a diffuser?
Add Ceylon Cassia 3 · Lemon 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of Ceylon cassia?
Swap Ceylon cassia for cinnamon or coriander — same warm spice family. The blend will shift a little: cinnamon is spicy-sweet, hot and warm.
When is the best time to use year-end burnout?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
